Accuracy of Information
Public agencies can revise their telephone numbers, office hours, locations, fees, forms, and procedures without advance notice. Online record systems also change as cases are filed, corrected, sealed, or updated. Reasonable care is taken when presenting Gallatin County and Illinois sources, but no statement or contact detail is guaranteed to remain accurate at a particular time. Confirm current requirements directly with the relevant government office before visiting a counter, filing a request, or making a payment.
An Arrest Is Not a Conviction
Arrest information does not prove guilt. A prosecutor may decline or revise a charge, a court may dismiss it, or a proceeding may end in the defendant's favor. A booking entry only documents custody intake and does not establish the final case result. Later expungement, sealing, amendment, or correction can also make an older copy incomplete or misleading. Verify the current disposition with the Circuit Clerk and check agency or Illinois State Police records with the custodian that maintains them.
Use a search result only as a lead. The originating court or agency must confirm its current contents and whether the record remains publicly available.

Nothing published here is an official record. Questions about a court date or disposition belong with the Gallatin Circuit Clerk. Arrest and transport information belongs with the arresting department or sheriff. State criminal-history information belongs with the Illinois State Police Bureau of Identification. Custody information may belong to an outside receiving jail because Gallatin County has no jail. Registry information must be checked through the Illinois Sex Offender Registry. Only the issuing custodian can provide an official or certified copy.
